Feeding and Sleeping - How to follow your baby’s needs?
Finding balance between taking control and following your baby
This course on "Feeding and Sleeping" aims to instill parents confidence in knowing how to follow your baby's needs. The course provides parents with practical advice in how to support it and presents solutions to challenges you may encounter.
The focus is on recognizing the needs of babies. By doing this with attention, they learn to take their parents into account. After all, respecting boundaries and agreements is much easier if your situation as a child is also taken into account. Because how you, as a parent, deal with your child's feelings has an enormous impact on the way he expresses himself.
Based on our pedagogical approach, you gain insights on:
- Why is it so important to follow the needs of your baby?
- Do you wake up your baby after a couple hours of sleep?
- How often or how much do you feed your baby?
- Babys use body language to show when they need something and they want to connect with you.
First, we will look at the most recent research findings. Then, we will illustrate with daily examples what tools parents can use for supporting their child. Finally, we will discuss how you can follow your baby's needs and as how you as a parent can deal with it.

- Course language is English.
The course is for all parents (expectant, first-time, more-time) - Akidemy clients and non-clients.

From Zürich HB with the S4 in the direction of Langnau-Gattikon to Sood-Oberleimbach or Adliswil.
Car:
There is a parking garage in the building which can be used.
Costs for the 90-minutes course:
CHF 20.00 for clients of the Akidemy Day Cares
CHF 30.00 for all other parents (non-clients of Akidemy)

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations have to be submitted in writing by email. The following fees arise in case of a course cancellation and depend on the reception of the course cancellation: ·
- up to 30 days prior to course date: CHF 10 (administrative fee)
- up to 15 days prior to course date: 50% of course fee
- up to 1 week prior to course date: 75% of course fee
- during week prior to course date and no-show: 100% of course fee
