How to talk to kids

What is the "How-to-talk" method?
How-to-talk teaches anyone with children to deal with the challenges involved in parenting and caregiving. The focus is on acknowledging the feelings of children. By doing so with attention, children learn to respect their parents or caregivers again. After all, respecting boundaries and agreements is much easier if there is also consideration for your situation as a child. Children learn to deal with setbacks, to be independent and to come up with their own solutions. The method gives them a different view of themselves and helps them become who they want to be. Proud of themselves, confident and respectful of their environment.

Webinars for Akidemy clients

The base of the "How-to-talk"-Webinars for our Akidemy-parents is the proven success of the method, the years of experience with parents and the latest insights from research into emotions, attachment and brain development. The method is simple, practical and immediately applicable.

The webinars offer parents interactive solutions to daily challenges as well as improving the bond between parent and child. It incorporates the How-to-talk method as training, including example situations. A child that gets angry, gets out of bed every time, is fearful of failure, argues or suddenly doesn't want to go to school: the webinars teach you how to deal with it in a calm, effective way. Without fighting, blaming and statements you will regret. And without losing sight of your own boundaries.

Setting Boundaries

By clearly indicating your limits while taking your child's emotions into account, you strengthen your bond with them. What is the effect of punishment, and what are sensible alternatives?

Toddler Tantrums

Where do tantrums come from? Can you prevent them? And most importantly: how can you react if your child has a tantrum?

Sibling without rivalry

A new sibling or bickering between children? Learn how to deal with rivalry between children. How does it arise? What is your role and how can you respond in a helpful way?
