Bilingual Childcare
Akidemy offers quality bilingual childcare for international as well as for Swiss families in German and English. And this at every location. We provide full bilingual communication with parents and guardians, including child development meetings and parent-teacher conferences, both verbally and in writing. At Akidemy, we place great emphasis on the integration of all children. They play together in our bilingual groups, always taking into account the different cultural backgrounds of the children.
One educator - one language
Every day in our groups we work according to "one educator - one language" principle. One educator consistently speaks English, while the other exclusively uses (Swiss) German. This way the children know from whom they will receive an answer in which language and gives them a feeling of emotional security. This supports and encourages their language development in the best possible way. We ensure that at least one English- and one German-speaking educator are present every day. When recruiting, we attach great importance to hiring qualified educators who speak both languages at a sufficient level. This way, we ensure that both languages are always covered, even in the case of absences.
